Montessori Binomial Cube

The Montessori binomial cube is a sensory and mathematical teaching tool composed of eight wooden cubes. It aims to transform the abstract algebraic formula (a + b)³ into a concrete visual and tactile experience through three-dimensional geometric puzzles. The binomial cube consists of a wooden box and eight wooden blocks of different sizes and colors, arranged in two layers: one red cube (representing a³), three red-black cuboids (representing a²b), three blue-black cuboids (representing ab²), and one blue cube (representing b³). The lid and sides of the box are printed with corresponding colored geometric patterns, serving as visual cues and error control guidelines for children during assembly. Suitable for children aged 3 and up.

Introducing the Teaching Aids:

Place the wooden box on the table with both hands, open the two sides of the outer box to reveal the cube inside. **Removing and Sorting:** Remove the blocks in order from top to bottom. Sort the blocks of the same color and size (red in one group, blue in another, etc.).

Layered Assembly: 

First Layer (Bottom):  Starting with the largest red cube (a³), refer to the diagram on the box lid and assemble the red-black, blue-black, and blue cubes to form a large square bottom layer.

Second Layer (Top):  Stack the second layer on top of the first layer, ensuring that adjacent contact surfaces are exactly the same color (red to red, blue to blue, black to black). Material: Wood
